Selected Benefits Scheme

(2000 Section only)

The Selected Benefits Scheme (SBS) is a voluntary savings option that is only available to members of the 2000 Section.

If you’re eligible, you can increase your benefits by paying voluntary contributions. If you were already contributing to the SBS in April 2016, you were asked to set a fixed percentage contribution rate. You can’t now adjust this rate, but you can cancel your SBS contributions at any time.

Please note that if you cancel your SBS contributions, you won’t be able to rejoin SBS in the future.

While you’re contributing to the SBS, you can’t make any other voluntary contributions at the same time. If you want to pay Additional Voluntary Contributions or Buy Up contributions, you’ll need to stop your SBS contributions.

There’s more information in the SBS Guide.
